''Black Friday'' Tree & Winter Fern Hike

Mt Toby Forest, November 26, 1-3PM

Want to avoid the crowds of shoppers and spend an afternoon breathing fresh air and enjoying nature? If so, then join us for our annual "Black Friday" hike on Friday November 26th from 1-3 PM. Yes, next Friday! Meet in the trail head parking area on Reservation Rd off Rt 47 in Sunderland MA. It is about a 2 mile hike, with moderate terrain. We will not be leading people into the caves, but will see a number of ferns around that area.

We'll hike parts of the Robert Frost and other trails to the famous Sunderland Caves, identifying trees, shrubs, & ferns along the way. Ferns will include Evergreen & Marginal wood ferns, Christmas fern, Common Polypody, Grape ferns, and Ebony & Maidenhair spleenworts.

The poster for the hike will be in the Fern Walks section of the "Downloads" option on the PVFS website, if is not attached here.

Pre-registration not required. Cancelled if bad weather. Check our PVFS website for cancellation notice in the News section.

We are fully vaccinated and hope our participants are as well.
