Mt Toby Fern Walk
August 21st 1-3 PM
The August PVFS fern walk will be at Mt. Toby in Sunderland, from 1-3PM on Sunday August 21st. It is an easy walk along the Tower Rd (a woods road), with an optional loop onto the trail that goes to Cranberry Pond, to pick up a few more ferns.
This is a good opportunity to compare Narrow and Broad Beech ferns, Lady & Silvery Spleenwort, and enjoy Maidenhair, Walking and Dissected Grape ferns as well. Altogether 22 species. Broad Beech is in the photo with this announcement.
