Green River Fern Foray
Fern walk along the Green River on Sunday July 1st
Explore the fabulous assortment of ferns to be found along the Green River in Greenfield and Colrain. Approximately 20 different species, including maidenhair, oak, bulblet and fragile ferns. Easy walk, mostly along roadside. Meet at intersecton of Green River Rd and Eunice Williams Drive. Rain cancels. Car pool if possible, parking may be limited on summer weekend day.
Extra benefit - this is a beautiful and popular spot for swimming and fishing on the Green River, so bring clothes or gear if you want to stay and enjoy the river after the walk.
This is one of my favorite fern walks, it is a wonderful area!
