PVFS Fern Walk
North Mountain Fern Walk this Sunday August 5
Hello all,
This Sunday August 5th we are offering a hike at a new spot, North Mountain Rd in Sunderland. It is on the south side of Mt. Toby. We will walk along an old town road through the Mt. Toby wildlife management area, looking for some 20 ferns, including Clinton's, Broad & Narrow Beech, Walking, Maidenhair, Ebony Spleenwort and both polypody ferns. Will involve some off-trail forays, so be prepared for insects and some wet muddy conditions.
Meet in the parking lot of the Dunkin Donuts on Rt 116 in Sunderland (303 Amherst Rd). Walk is 2-4 PM. Rain cancels.
